Dominating the Asian Games, they grabbed golds in 1986 Seoul, 1990 Beijing, 1994 Hiroshima, 1998 Bangkok, and 2014 Incheon. Their Asia Cup victories include golds in 1985 Seoul, 1993 Hiroshima, and 1999 New Delhi. Additionally, they triumphed in the Asian Champions Trophy, clinching golds in 2010 Busan, 2011 Ordos, and 2018 Donghae. The team also claimed a bronze in the Hockey World League in 2016–17 Auckland, showcasing their consistent excellence in international field hockey.
