From resolute defenses holding strong against persistent attacks to stunning comebacks and impressive individual performances, the day had it all. Fans were treated to exhilarating action as China and Korea battled to a tense 1-1 draw, Pakistan staged an impressive fightback to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw against Japan, and India returned to their winning ways with a commanding 5-0 victory over Malaysia. The high-octane matches have set the stage for an intense competition, leaving spectators eagerly anticipating what the remaining days of the premier hockey event will bring.

In a spectacular display of cohesive hockey, India returned to winning ways with a commanding 5-0 victory against Malaysia at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium. The Indian team exhibited a more controlled and compact game, effectively nullifying Malaysia's attacking threat.

India's resolute midfield, led by Manpreet Singh, denied space and opportunities to the Malaysian forwards, making it challenging for them to breach the Indian defense. Jarmanpreet Singh and Jugraj Singh's outstanding defensive performance ensured that the Indian goalkeepers were rarely tested.

India's forwards displayed a relentless attacking approach, and goals from Selvam Karthi, Gurjant Singh, Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, and Jugraj Singh secured a comprehensive win for the hosts.
