Question: How excited are you for the #FIHProLeague?
Mats Grambusch: In general I think it is going to be a good thing that starts for us in February-March and we have a big trip to Australia, New Zealand and Argentina and I am looking forward to doing that with this bunch.
Q: What makes #FIHProLeague different from other events?
MG: It is different because it is going for a longer period of time, usually we play events which are over in 14 to 20 days and you get your ranking. Now, it is a bit different because you only have a few matches and the entire season is going for a longer period. It is going to be more regular and hopefully at the end we have enough points to play the grand final.
Q: How excited are you to play at home?
MG: Yes, it is good to have big games at home. I hope the stadiums are going to be packed and hope the sport in Germany will grow of it. There will be a game taking place in Mönchengladbach, which is my home city and I am looking forward to play in a big stadium at home.
Q: Any specific preparation for the six-month long event?
MG: Actually not, we have a training camp before the event starts. Normally our training camp takes place in February-March but this year because the #FIHProLeague takes places in Feb-March, our training camp takes place in January. We go to Spain for nine days and have a preparation and training camp for the #FIHProLeague and then we just move on with the games.
Q: Do you have any message for the fans?
MG: Hope you guys will be excited and come to the stadium and support Germany. I am looking forward to see you all and we will have a great time together.
Q: Who do you think will win?
MG: What else can I say other than Germany? So, Germany is going to win :)
