It's the turn of the women in the EuroHockey Indoor Championships this weekend. Contesting the Indoor Club Championships Cup at Cambrai in France are Amsterdam H & BC, SK Slavia Praha, HC Victorya Smolevichi, the home side, Cambrai, Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, Berliner Hockey Club, HC Weloc Wels and MSC Sumchonka.

With the pool matches now finished, classification matches and semi-finals will take place this evening, with the final taking place at 2.30 CET tomorrow (Sunday). The four teams contesting top spot are Berliner, Amsterdam H and BC, HK Praha Slavia and Club de Campo.

In the second tier of competition, the Eurohockey Indoor Club Championships Trophy, being played at Siavlai in Lithuania, the competing teams include the home side, Siauliu Gintra-Strekte-Uni HC, Slagelse Hockeyklub, the Italian side HF Lorenzoni, Dundee Wanderers, Reading Hockey Club and Keçiören Baglum Sport Club from Turkey. At time of going to press, both Reading and Gintra-Strekte Uni are unbeaten and look set to be challenging for the trophy and promotion to the top league.

In Budapest, the clubs fighting for the Indoor Club Championships Challenge include, Hockey Club Zrinjevac, Ards Ladies Hockey Club, Partille SC, Lisbon Casuals Hockey Club, Howardian LHC and Amator Gyeplabda Sportegyesulet.

At the end of the second day of play, Ards Ladies, from Ireland, had scored an impressive 30 goals in just four games and look set to lead the charge for promotion and the chance to compete in the Club Championships Trophy next season.
