In a repeat of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, Australia, New Zealand, India and England will contest the women's semi finals on Thursday.
The semi finals will be the same as those played in Manchester four years ago, with Australia to take on England and New Zealand matched against India.
Yesterday's final Pool matches confirmed the finishing order of each team in their respective group, with New Zealand emerging victorious in Pool B after a comprehensive four-goal victory over England.
New Zealand's opponent in tomorrow's semi final will be Indiac after the defending champion thrashed Malaysia in the last match on day six, with India thrashing Malaysia to earn the chance to defend their Commonwealth title.
Earlier on day six, Australia stamped their authority on the tournament with an easy win over South Africa to complete an unbeaten run through the preliminary rounds. They will play England in the other semi final. The last times the team met in Commonwealth Games was at a similar stage four years ago, WIth England shocking Australia to advance to the gold medal match.
In the men's competition, Australia has already ensured their participation in the medal matches but the identity of their fellow semi finalists will be determined during the last day of round matches today.
England remain the favourites to join Australia as the qualifiers from Pool A, but New Zealand are also still in contention in they can find a way to defeat Australia.
Pool B is a more uncertain affair, with Pakistan and Malaysia having the edge heading into day seven. India and South Africa loom behind hoping for one of the teams above them to falter but they face each other in the opening match needing a multiple goal win to keep the pressure on the Pool's leading teams.
