Women's officials confirmed for Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014

The FIH is pleased to confirm the names of the officials who will oversee the women’s competition at next year’s Rabobank Hockey World Cup tournament, which takes place in The Hague, Netherlands between 31^st May and 15^th June 2014.

The Hockey World Cup is held every four years and ranks alongside the Olympic Games the most coveted, cherished prize in the sport.

The summer showpiece will be overseen by some of the finest competition officials in the world, with South Africa’s Sheila Brown being given the crucial Tournament Director role. It is the second successive World Cup TD appointment for Brown, who was also in charge at the 2010 event in Rosario, Argentina. She will be supported by vastly experienced TOs Laura Pigretti (ARG), Edna Rutten (NED) and Rosie Stern (AUS). Pigretti and Rutten were both crucial members of the Technical Team at the London 2012 Olympic Games, while Stern recently took charge of the Argentina Hockey World League Final in San Miguel de Tucuman.

The umpires list for The Hague is vastly experienced, with Soledad Iparraguirre (ARG), Wendy Stewart (CAN), Lisa Roach (AUS) and Amy Hassick (USA) being just four of eleven umpires who also officiated at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The full list of officials can be found below.
