The Uruguay hockey federation (FUHC) will inaugurate its new synthetic pitch at the Carrasco Polo Club on 29 June 2007. The pitch is a donation from the FIH to the FUHC. The program for the inauguration festivities features Under 14 and Under 16 school matches, Carrasco Polo Under 18 and Under 21 matches and a matches between 1st division selections men and women.
