German national team coach Markus Weise nominated his team of 18 players for the Hero Honda FIH World Cup immediately after the training camp in Valencia, Spain.

From the team winning the BDO World Cup in 2006, only three players are in the German squad for the Hero Honda FIH World Cup 2010: Moritz F├╝rste, Jan-Marco Montag and Matthias Witthaus. Nine of the selected players won the Olympic Gold in Beijing 2008.

Germany will travel to New Delhi, India with almost the same team that reached the final at the ABN AMRO Champions Trophy in Melbourne, Australia in December 2009. Christopher Wesley has been replaced by Martin Zwicker. This change will bring the number of forwards in the German team to six.
