Anita Punt is not only a seasoned star of the Black Sticks women's hockey team, but she is also an outstanding sprinter who is recognised as one of the fastest players in the game.
Anita, who made her international debut in 2009, recently earned her 150th cap for New Zealand. During that time she has played in the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where the team won a silver medal; the 2011 Champions Trophy, where she won bronze; and the 2012 London Olympics – where New Zealand finished a creditable fourth. She also has a gold medal from the 2009 Champions Challenge.
As New Zealand continue to prepare for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup, Anita will be hoping her pace will leave rivals trailing in her wake.
