The Hero Honda FIH World Cup is already in the mind of Spanish Men Team. It's preparation starts in San Fernando, Cádiz, Spain with the first of three intensive camp-trainings in order to build up the team for the most important event in 2010.
National Coach Daniel Martín has selected a group of 23 players that will be reduced to the final 18 before flying to New Delhi. The team has chosen the warmer regions of Spain to train (San Fernando, Valencia and Alicante) and will play official games against the other three European Teams qualified for the Hero Honda FIH World Cup: England, Germany and Netherlands.
Spain will start in San Fernando playing three matches against European Champions England on 23, 24 and 26 January. The second match will also serve to open the new San Fernando pitch, which is called as former RFEH President Pablo Negre, the father of FIH President Leandro Negre.
FIH President Leandro Negre will assist to the match as well as RFEH President Santiago Deó, Andaluza Federation President Julián Ignacio Murillo and San Fernando Major, Manuel Mª de Bernardo Foncubierta.
