The encounter, the first of the national team since the European Nations in Amsterdam, was marked by slow play and constant stoppages which prevented an enjoyable performance.
"The lack of rhythm stuck out. Many of the players have not competed since the European Nations Cup, and the Under 21s since their World Cup, so it is logical that they are not in good form," remarked head coach Pablo Usoz, who will be counting on a rejuvenated squad with several U21 players for the Champions Challenge.
Usoz noted that he is not worried about the weak moment in the form of his players. "The lack of rhythm is normal, but during this week of work in Terrassa we will achieve an improvement, and in South Africa, we have three or four days of practice before the Champions Challenge", he said.
