Spain men have begun their preparations for the EuroHockey Championship with a training session in San Fernado (Southern Spain), where they played The Netherlands and Scotland twice.
There is still nine months to go before what is considered to be the most important competition of the year by Spain men. Coach Dani Martín is building a team that includes two new faces in Alex Casasayas and Ignasi Guerrero, who replace experienced players such as Rodrigo Garza and Albert Sala, who win Olympic silver at Beijing 2008.
The new look team recorded two wins over Scotland, with a draw and a defeat being the result against Netherlands men.
