Former FIH President Els van Breda Vriesman was honored with the Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau decoration in Netherlands on Queens Day, Friday 30 April 2010.

The Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau is one of the six knightly grades in Netherlands and is awarded to people who have earned special merits for society for the special way in which they have carried out their activities.

The former FIH President and IOC Member was honored with the Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau decoration for all her work she did as volunteer for hockey and sports in general in her life.
