The High Level Coaching Course of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) in cooperation with the FIH has been a success. A total number of 39 participants took part in the course that took place in the last week of December 2008 in Lahore, Pakistan.
FIH Coaching Manager Tayyab Ikram was the course conductor and delivered lectures about latest trends hockey. President PHF Qasim Zia and Secretary Asif Bajwa distributed the certificates to participants at closing ceremony.
PHF President Qasim Zia said that PHF and FIH are in contract for organizing coaching courses in Pakistan, and PHF will continue their efforts to arrange these types of courses in future. PHF is trying to create a structure to promote hockey in Pakistan and existing officials of federation needs support in this regard from hockey family. Qasim Zia also thanked to Tayyab Ikram for his support towards Pakistan Hockey Federation.
Tayyab Ikram said that FIH will continue their support towards PHF in future. Pakistan have very much potential in hockey and the decision of setting up of hockey academies is the wise decision from PHF. Tayyab Ikram also thanked to the officials of PHF for their appreciation.
