England Hockey have created a new role for a Performance Coaching Manager to oversee the technical development of its performance coaches.
Salary and benefits package: circa £40,000 plus car, plus benefits package (commensurate with experience)
Location: Bisham Abbey. National and international travel required
About England Hockey
England Hockey is the National Governing Body for hockey, responsible for the development of hockey from grass roots to elite activities. It has completely rebuilt itself in the last three years and is now planning ahead to the 2012 Olympics, supported by long term funding from both Sport England and UK Sport. Its small Performance Team is responsible for the assessment, selection and preparation of all national squads-under 16, under 18, under 21 and seniors of both genders. The performance team also works closely with the development team to ensure consistent and excellent practice is built into coach education and grass roots development work.
The Role
This is a new and important role, one that will help England Hockey become more competitive on the world stage. Its main objective is to oversee the technical development of the performance coaches and will include the following:
Communicating the philosophy of the Head Coaches via the coach education programme
