Irish Hockey Association: Ireland will play two Tests against Belgium next week as they continue to prepare for next April's BDO Hockey World Cup Qualifier.

The matches will be played at Praxgata, north of Brussels, at 20:30 and 20:45 respectively.

After a tough 4-0 defeat to England in their first competitive match since winning promotion to European's elite, Irelands have a few key areas that need improvement before they set off for China.

ÔÇ£This will provide an ideal opportunity to assess across two Test matches some of the less experienced players as well as giving those players a chance to make the training squad for China,ÔÇØ Passmore said.

ÔÇ£The matches against England highlighted some key areas for development and it is ideal that after the training camp this weekend, we measure progress in these areas.

ÔÇ£The England matches emphasised the need for regular high quality matches played at tempo.ÔÇØ
