The Selection Committee of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the 18 member Pakistan Women's Team for Asian Games Qualifying Tournament. The players were selected after one day final trials at National Hockey Stadium Lahore on Saturday
Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Hanif Khan, members Olympian Arshad Chaudhry and Olympian Muhammad Usman observed the trials. Asian Games Qualifying Tournament will be played from 22-30 May 2010 in Bangkok, Thailand. Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan will take part in the tournament.
The announced players are Goal Keepers: Rizwana Yasmeen, Maria Saeed.Full Backs: Ishrat Abbas, Saba Saeed, Sanam Yousaf. Halves: Asma Ashraf, Amna Mir (Captain), Aasia Siidique (Vice Captain), Nadia Kazim, Zeb Un Nisa, Ayesha Rafiq. Forwards: Shahida Raza, Azra Nasir, Nazia Rehmat, Aneeza Bashir, Beenish Hayat, Hina Kanwal, Zakia Gul.
