The three member fact finding committee constituted by ministry of sports of Pakistan on Beijing Olympics Hockey debacle will submit its findings to the ministry of sports during the second week of April.
Fact finding committee headed by Rana Farooq Saeed, members Abdul Waheed Khan and Shahbaz Ahmad Senior heard former PHF Secretary Khalid Mehmood, former team manager Khawaja Zaka Uddin, former coach Naveed Alam and Secretary PHF Muhammad Asif Bajwa at National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
After the hearing Rana Farooq Saeed told reporters that the committee will submit its report to the ministry of sports during the second week of April. In this regard if committee needs to hear someone else then he will be invited to Islamabad.
Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Muhammad Asif Bajwa said that the debacle of Beijing Olympics was the part of the Pakistan team's previous performances. Pakistan team got seventh position in World Cup, sixth in Champions Trophy, sixth in Asia Cup and then eighth in Olympics.
Muhammad Asif Bajwa said that the doors of PHF are always open for senior Olympians and we also respect our seniors. We will do everything with the consultation of senior Olympians. Who ever wants to serve the national game we warmly welcome him.
