After a false start in the ongoing Vaisakhi international hockey tournament here in Nairobi, Kenya visitors Pakistan customs demonstrated that age is just but a number when they thrashed their opponents in their two subsequent matches.
Pakistan customs a team that is boosting of ÔÇÿOlympian oldies' and former internationals surprised Kenyan youngsters clubs. On day five of the tournament they humbled Nairobi Simba by 5 goals to two while in day 6 encounter they hammered Parklands 8 goals to one to revive their hopes of title contention.
In other matches played Green sharks beat Kenya premier league champions 1 goal to nothing to qualify for the semi finals joining Ghana Customs who finished tops in pool A. The semi finals will be held on Saturday 24 April with the finals slated for Sunday the 25 April 2010. 9 Men's teams and 4 women teams are taking part in the tournament which is sponsored by the Sikh Community of Kenya.
