The 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands is officially one year away and it is clear that the athletes are ready for hockey's biggest event. The 12 top men's and women's teams will converge on The Hague on May 31st to begin their quest to win hockey's biggest prize. From 31 May through 15 June 2014 the world’s 12 best countries will compete at the 2014 Hockey World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands. For both the men and the women there are two pools of six teams.In the pool phase there are four matches in the Kyocera Stadium and two matches in the GreenFields Stadium every day. The definite match schedule will be announced on January 1, 2014. That will also be the date when ticket sales for foreign fans will start. The women’s final is on June 14, the men’s final on Sunday June 15.
Teams will begin the qualification process for the World Cup in two week's time when the first of four Hockey World League Semi-Finals begins in Rotterdam. the other hosts of the Semi-Final events are London and Johor, Malaysia.
