The Canadian women's national team finished their four game test series versus the United States on Monday morning.
The Americans earned victories in all four of their contests including the 6-0 win today. The Canadians were in San Diego as part of their preparations for the 2011 competitive calendar.
Three national team newcomers participated in their first international games during this tour. Earning their first career caps were Hannah Haughn on January 19th, Natalie Sourisseua on January 21st, and Kaitlyn Williams on January 24th.
ÔÇ£The Americans are a competitive team,ÔÇØ says head coach Louis Mendonca. ÔÇ£We just need to ensure we play for the entire 70 minutes.ÔÇØ
The tour was a useful experience for the squad, who will be preparing over the coming months for the FIH Champions Challenge II in May and the Pan American Games in October. Six of the players in San Diego were not on the team who last played in October's Commonwealth Games.
