The London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games has been established as the organization that will plan and stage the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
There are currently 26 sports on the Olympic program and 20 sports on the Paralympic program with athletes from 203 National Olympic Committees competing in the events.
The Sports Department responsibilities include planning and organization of the sports competitions, sports input into the briefs for venue design, identification of training venues, test event planning and the development of the competition schedule.
The Competition Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, management and conduct of the competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
London 2012 is looking to recruit the Competition Manager for hockey and all other 28 sports.
