With an Olympic Gold medal, a World Cup, six Champions Trophies, three Commonwealth Games Golds and five World Player of the Year titles, Kookaburras superstar Jamie Dwyer is clearly used to hitting incredible milestones.
His latest achievement came in the Oceania Cup on Saturday (2nd November), when he netted his 200th international goal in Australia's 16-0 win over Papua New Guinea. The sensational 34-year-old scored twice in the match to join the elite "200 club".
Acknowledging Dwyer’s 200th strike for his country, Kookaburras coach Graham Reid said, “He’s a fantastic player and it’s a fantastic milestone. But the Kookaburras aren’t about milestones and he would be the first to say that it’s about the team.”
Congratulations to Jamie on adding yet another chapter to one of the most remarkable careers in hockey.
