In the first two games of a three-match series, England's junior team shut-out their Canadian counterparts, 4-0, in both contests.

In the first match, the English and Canadian sides tested each other in the beginning but after the first few minutes Canada was quickly put on their heels by the physical size, pace and team approach of England. The Canadian defensive structure was not quite there in the first half and the English were able to take advantage.

The Canadian athletes were exposed to a new level of competition and while they worked hard for the full 70 minutes, they were clearly out played .

In Game Two, Canada came out ready, playing with more grit and determination. The Canadian team was able to execute our half court with significant improvement, holding shape and space as well as making good decisions. Even with the improvement, Canada was under considerable pressure mainly due to unforced and forced errors, and when Canada was able to breakout of its zone, the decisions were always under pressure, causing missed opportunities in the open space.

Overall, the Canadian side is on a steep learning curve, making improvement in the key areas and goals set out for this tour. The Canadian athletes gave their all to the English side for a full 70 minutes - never quitting or giving an uncontested inch.
