Japan surprised at the 4-Nations-Tournament ÔÇ£Hamburg MastersÔÇØ by beating the Netherlands 3-2. Host Germany have also won their second game, they defeated India 5-3.

NED v JPN 2-3 (1-2)
Around 50 spectators followed this game. Due to the soccer quarter final Germany v Argentina the stands were quite empty.
Japan's Kenji Kitazato took the early lead in the second minute but the young Dutch team were able to equalise twelve minutes later. At the end of the first half Japan's captain Kazuhiro Tsubouchi brought his team in front again. The second half was a quiet one with chances either side. After Japan's 3-1 Rogier Hofman brought hopes back to the Netherlands who were finally not able to equalise again. The world-ranked 16th Japan deserved the victory and keep their chances open to win the tournament.

IND v GER 3-5 (2-2)
Both teams stayed fairly level the entire match, despite this clash of styles. The Indian team was a very fast opposition for Germany, but their run style came as a surprise. German technique worked against the Indian team which lost possession due to some disorganisation on the field. Both teams were strong in defence, particularly the Indian team taking counter-attack opportunities more often than the Germans.
India took the lead three times but finally it were Germany who won. A penalty stroke converted by Christopher Zeller and a field goal scored by Moritz F├╝rste brought home the victory due to a great finish.

On Sunday India play Japan and Germany face the Netherlands.
