The Irish National Women's Coach Gene Muller has announced a relatively inexperienced squad to play against Scotland in Stirling over a three match series this weekend (23-25 July).
The squad of 18 sees a number of more experienced players rested after what has been a busy summer so far, providing the coach with an opportunity to asses other players on an international platform, six of whom are uncapped.
Commenting on the series Muller said 'We are looking forward to a challenging series against a good team. Our team features eight changes from the team that played against Australia at the start of July with six new caps. These matches will be an opportunity for us to gauge our depth and to access our players ahead of the start of the central preparation program.'
Ireland will continue to accumulate match practice as they are also scheduled to play against Belgium later this month in UCD in a three match series on the 6, 7 and 8 August.
