The Irish men's team has a busy August ahead competing in a home series against Malaysia (18-22 August), followed by a five Nations Tournament in Paris, France from 24-29 August. These matches will afford Ireland an opportunity to come together on the international platform after a six week break.

Commenting on the upcoming matches Coach Paul Revington said 'Our Team needs to continue to accumulate game and competition experience and these events provide this opportunity. The current challenge for our team will be playing these test matches after a period of necessary rest and recovery for the players, knowing that the players will be competing with international teams at the peak of their respective summer programs. The team however showed a good balance of technical quality and emotional strength during the recent summer period and I know they will arrive back on the 14th August determined to make the most of these test match and competition opportunities before they start their respective club seasons.'

Ireland will take on Malaysia on home soil in a four match series from 18-22 August before travelling to Paris to play in a five Nations Tournament alongside Malaysia, France, Poland and Scotland.

The squads for both sets of test matches will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
