India finished fifth at the Men's Asia Cup after defeating Japan (5-1) in Kuantan, Malaysia.
The Indian team only faced problems in the first half. After being up 2-1 at half time, India played much better in the second half and finally scored three more goals.
Pakistan and Korea will play the final of the Men's Asia Cup on Saturday. The winner of that match will qualify for the 2010 FIH World Cup in India.
