The International Hockey Federation (FIH) wishes to express its sadness upon learning of the passing of long term international hockey writer and event reporter Bruce Hamilton.
According to reports from Hockey Australia, Bruce passed away on the morning of November 24th in Canakkale, Turkey.
"Bruce has worked for International news agencies such as AAP and AFP and reported most major hockey events around the world", said a Hockey Australia media release. "He regularly published articles in Australian newspapers and on the Internet site - 'fieldhockey.com'. His work ethic and knowledge of hockey in its modern form, as expressed through his media work, will be sadly missed."
No funeral arrangements have been made at this point however it is expected he will be laid to rest in Australia.
Both Hockey Australia and the FIH pass sincere condolences to Bruce’s family.
