Hockey India contributed 10,000 Lakh to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund on Tuesday to help aid flooding victims in Uttarakhand.
In a statement released from Hockey India, Hockey India General Secretary Dr. Narider Batra said, “Hockey India expresses its deepest concerns for the people of the affected people of the Uttarakhand tragedy and being a national governing sports body we feel our duty to contribute to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.”
He went on to add, “It is a small gesture to help the state during this calamity. Hockey India is committed to making any similar contribution in the future.”
