Hockey Australia (HA) and IMG Sports Technology Group (IMGSTG) have formed a partnership that will see IMG STG provide a range of services to grow and enhance the sport of hockey moving forward.
Central to the partnership is a fresh new website, in addition to the provision of IMG STG’s 'best-in-class' technology that is currently utilised by over 38 National Sports Organisations and Elite Sporting Bodies around the world.
The new member database and online payments gateway will allow hockey to provide better services to members, reduce volunteer administration workload, accurately report participation numbers and attract new participants to the sport. The technology partnership will also see Hockey implement a new online payment system as used by many of Australia’s prominent sporting entities including Swimming Australia and Cycling Australia.
IMG STG Chief Executive, Brian Cooney, is delighted to work with one of Australia’s most prominent sporting organisations. "The new partnership with Hockey Australia ties in perfectly with our renewed focus on the team sports market now that we have added competition management to our suite of products and the united way in which the National and State bodies have approached this project has been very encouraging."
HA Chief Executive, Mark Anderson said, "Hockey Australia is pleased to work with together with IMG STG to deliver a high quality membership product and websites to the hockey community. The project team involved representatives from across all levels of our sport. They have been impressed with the quality of the product and the responsiveness of IMG STG to their feedback. We look forward to working together with IMG STG across the hockey community to ensure that it is a successful launch."
Work has begun on the implementation of the various platforms for HA with the roll out to commence over the course of the next few months.
