Hockey Australia would like to offer its best wishes to all those affected by the floods in Queensland.
At this stage it is not known how many of the hockey community have been affected personally or the impact on local facilities.
Pictures received yesterday from the Rockhampton hockey club demonstrate how close their center came to being overcome.
Hockey Australia and State/Territory CEOs will be discussing early next week how we best respond to the flood crisis.
ÔÇ£Like all within the Australian community, Hockey Australia and all State & Territory Associations have been saddened by the terrible events in Queensland over the past week. All have expressed our concern and offered to support Queensland in any way we can. We will be discussing next week how the national hockey network may be able to assist the Queensland hockey community and Hockey Queensland over the coming months. We wish all those affected the very best for the coming weeks and beyond as the re-building process commences,ÔÇØ said Hockey Australia Chief Executive, Mark Anderson.
