The men's team of Germany proved to better in a two match series against Netherlands. The German team won the first match 5-1, while the second (non official) match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Dutch national team coach Roelant Oltmans was not extremely happy with the performance of his team. Netherlands only scored once out of 11 penalty corners and this worries the coach.
Netherlands played five practice matches for the EuroHockey Nations Championship, to be played in Manchester in August. The Dutch team won twice against Poland, drew against China and Germany and lost once to Germany.
