The German coach Michael Schmitz has been appointed by the National Olympic Committee of Iran in conjunction with the Iranian Hockey Federation to be the Head Coach of the national Men's hockey team of Iran.
He has to focus to develop hockey in general in Iran, but especially to coach the Iranian team in view of the Asian Indoor Cup which will take place in Iran in summer 2007. The initial assignment lasts until December 2007.
