The women's team of India made a flying start on the second day of the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar on Sunday. The Indian team defeated Taipei 7-0 in its first match at this biggest Asian sporting event. In other Sunday action, Japan and Korea both took one point home after a 2-2 draw. Malaysia defeated Hong Kong 3-1.

India, the team that had a day off on the opening day of the Asian Games, played a great match against outsider Taipei. Although it took 18 minutes for the first Indian goal, India was always in control of the match. In the second half, India succeeded to score six more goals and won defeated Taipei 7-0.

All eyes were on the Korea-Japan match on the second day of play in the hockey competition. Japan, recently finished fifth at the Samsung World Cup, was stronger in the first part of match and took a 2-0 lead just after halftime. The Koreans fought for their lives and scored also two times. At the end of the spectacular match between the two Asian giants, the 2-2 was the right result.

In other action, Malaysia won its match against Hong Kong 3-1.

After two days of competition in Doha, Qatar, only India and China (teams that only played one match so far) are undefeated. Japan and Korea are leading the competition with four points out of two matches.
