The final trials to select the Pakistan hockey team for Azlan Shah Cup will be held on Wednesday 18 March at National Hockey Stadium in Larore. The trials will start at 14:30 and the 18 member final team will be announced at 16:30.

Members of the national selection committee will observe the trials and announce the 18 member team. The trials will be held amongst the 25 players of the training camp.

The 25 players are:
Goalkeepers: Nasir Ahmad (PIA), Sajid (Railways), Waseem (Steel Mills).
Full Backs: Zeeshan Ashraf (NBP), Muhammad Imran (Army), Ehsan Ullah (PIA), Halves: Rana Asif (WAPDA), Dilawar Hussain (PIA), Muhammad Saqlain (ABL), Zeeshan Ali (KESC), Waqas Zafar (Army), Sibtain Raza (NBP) and Khurram Shahzad (HBL). Forwards: Shakeel Abbasi (SSGC), Waqas Sharif (WAPDA), Waqas Akbar (PIA), Akhtar ALI (NBP), Sajid Junaid (KESC), Shabir Khan (SSGC), Asim Khan, Tariq Aziz, Sajjad Anwar, Shafqat Rasool, Fareed Ahmad and Ibrar Haider.

The 18th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup will be played from 6-12 April in Ipoh, Malaysia. Five teams from Pakistan, Malaysia, India, Egypt and New Zealand will take part in the tournament.
