With just one day left until the Olympic flame is lit at the 2012 London Games opening ceremony, the FIH unveiled more features of its London 2012 webpage and coverage of the Games.
Published today was a 105-page Men’s and Women’s Olympic Media Guide. This tome is for media and hockey fans alike. See where your favourite teams stacks up in Olympic history, or perhaps just learn some fun facts to amaze your friends with while watching the Olympic hockey tournament. It’s all in the guide. Click here to view the PDF.
Also unveiled was the official FIH London 2012 Blog. This blog will give hockey fans a unique perspective on all things Olympic as our hockey team experiences London, the Games, the hockey tournament and everything in between and shares it with the global hockey family.
Finally, for those looking for a lighter side of the Olympics, please allow us to introduce an aspiring Hockey Ambassador, Flat Eric. This little yellow creature is a fan of all sports, and especially loves hockey and has travelled all the way to London to serve as a hockey ambassador and share his many adventures with fans around the world. Flat Eric will be making posts both in the FIH London 2012 Blog, and on his very own Facebook page: Hockeyfan Flat Eric. Follow Flat Eric’s adventures and feel like you’re in London with him.
More is on the way, so stay tuned to www.FIH.ch for complete London 2012 coverage!
