This Global Hockey Survey forms part of the work being undertaken by the FIH to create a Hockey Revolution.

Speaking about this, Laura Hoyle, FIH Head of Marketing, said: “To build a recognised, powerful image for hockey is one of the FIH’s four big goals for our sport.”

The survey which was produced in English, Hindi and Spanish was circulated globally and all National Associations were encouraged to get involved.

“This is the first time that hockey has undertaken a research study of this magnitude which will provide us this type of insight. The findings from this study will enable us to clearly identify a relevant global image for our sport, give us clarity around our audiences and enable us to share information on a localised level to help Associations grow the game in their market, as well as much, much more. I would like to thank everyone who took part in this survey. You have made a significant difference to this sport you love.” said Hoyle.

Survey findings will be formally shared at FIH Congress to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates later this year.
