FIH nominates reserve countries for WorldHockey Olympic Qualifiers

After the FIH released the composition of the six WorldHockey Olympic Qualifier for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the NOC's of the potential participants had to confirm the participation of their national hockey team. Five countries informed the FIH that they would not be able to participate in the WorldHockey Olympic Qualifier. The FIH therefore nominated reserve countries.

For the Men's WorldHockey Olympic Qualifier in New Zealand, USA will replace Cuba. For the event in Chile, Mexico will replace Egypt. For the tournament in Japan, Czech Republic informed the FIH that the men's team will not participate. The FIH will announce the replacement team in due time.

For the women's WorldHockey Olympic Qualifier in Russia, France will replace Chinese Taipei. For the event in Canada, Uruguay will replace Cuba.
