The International Hockey Federation has informed the Pakistan Hockey Federation that it will take no further action against Tariq Aziz for an incident that occurred during the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
FIH is satisfied with PHF's handling of the matter and considers Aziz's suspension of six months, which includes three FIH world-level events, to be a sufficient penalty.
PHF suspended Aziz after he was issued a red card in the Commonwealth Games gold medal match for an off-the-ball incident involving Australia's Rob Hammond.
It was not the first time during the tournament that Aziz had fallen foul of officials after earlier being suspended for two matches for a similar offence during Pakistan's preliminary round clash with South Africa.
As well as missing last month's BDO Hockey World Cup Qualifier, Aziz is also ineligible to compete at this year's Sahara Hockey Champions Trophy in Terrassa (July) and the BDO Hockey World Cup in M├Ânchengladbach (September).
