The FIH today announced the playing schedule for the Women's Champions Challenge II (Outdoor), which will be held in Vienna, Austria from May 7-15.

The Women's Champions Challenge II is a young event, with the 2011 tournament being only the second of its kind. The first edition took place in the Russian city of Kazan in 2009, and was won by India.

Eight nations will compete in the tournament, with Austria, Chile, Belgium, Russia, Canada, Italy, Malaysia and Belarus all in action. Belgium and Malaysia will kick off the event with the first game on the day on May 7th, while host Austria will close the opening day action against Canada.

The Women's Champion's Challenge II will give the teams World Ranking points, while the winner of the tournament will be automatically qualified for the next Champions Challenge I which will be held in 2013. More information about the event will be released in the coming months.
