Following the conclusion of the Women's Asia Cup, the 18 teams to participate in the forthcoming women's World Cup Qualifiers are known.
The qualified teams (in ABN AMRO World Ranking order) are as follows: Australia, Japan, USA, Korea, Azerbaijan, Ireland, Chile, Italy, Belgium, Canada, Russia, Malaysia, Scotland, Belarus, France, Trinidad & Tobago, Wales, Mexico.
The FIH is in the process of finalizing the allocation of teams, location and exact dates for the three qualifiers. One of them will be played in Santiago, Chile, while the locations for the other two will be known at the latest on Monday 23 November 2009.
All three qualifiers will be played in the period from 20 March to 27 April 2010.
