England Hockey is delighted to announce that EHTV, England Hockey's new Broadband Television Channel, is now on air at www.englandhockey.co.uk.

This is an important step for the National Governing Body which sees them use the latest technology available to create more exposure for the sport and give the Hockey Family the opportunity to watch highlights 24/7 on their computers.

EHTV features edited highlights of Great Britain and England International matches, including last year's EuroHockey Nations Championships and some classics from the past like the 1986 Hockey World Cup in London. More recently, Great Britain Women's 4-2 victory over Argentina in the friendly match and highlights of the Setanta trophy tournament from Ireland are covered.

For the youngsters this year's National Schools Finals make for inspiring viewing as does the National Youth Festival and the forthcoming program on England Hockey's new primary game called Quicksticks.

From the start of next season, EHTV will go behind the scenes in club hockey featuring news and views. In the meantime, there is footage from Great Britain training camps and skills and drills for coaches.

Each month FIH's ABN AMRO World Hockey magazine program will also form part of the viewing experience.

Barry Snellgrove, Marketing Director of England Hockey, commented ÔÇ£EHTV is currently free to view, but from the end of August it will be subscription based as part of the new England Hockey membership package at just ┬ú35 a year. That's ┬ú3 a month to watch EHTV 24/7 on a laptop or computer, and receive a whole range of other benefits including our quarterly magazine.ÔÇØ

EHTV is hosted, managed, and commercialized by Simply Sports Media, England Hockey's partners in the venture. Simply Sports Media is a Digital Sport and entertainment TV Company, their Managing Director, Andrew Cooke, commented ÔÇ£We are delighted to be providing England Hockey with a one stop solution to their online TV requirementsÔÇØ
