The European Hockey Federation (EHF) hosted an Open Forum on the Occasion of the 20th General Assembly in Budapest, Hungary last month. The EHF was pleased that so many of the delegates attending the General Assembly attended and contributed to the EHF Open Forum. In excess of 16 topics were discussed and below are the top 8 topics based on the level of support from the participants:
- Solidarity Fund
- Review the EuroHockey Nations Championships format
- Promote Hockey's unique features, especially in schools and youth groups
- Establish a European coaching standard
- Investigate and develop links with EU to identify funds for youth development
- Expand and develop Zonal concept
- Enhance Umpire training
- Promote web-based resources for Hockey
The EHF Executive Board will consider the various topics at its meeting scheduled for 15/16 December 2007, Istanbul, Turkey.
