Netherlands star Robert van der Horst had two reasons to celebrate on Monday. As well as captaining his team to a hard earned 2-1 triumph over England at the TriFinance EuroHockey Championships in Boom (BEL), the brilliant Dutch midfielder also made his 200th senior appearance in the famous orange shirt.

"Every anniversary game that I have played so far has been against England and we have won all of those games, so I’m obviously very happy”, said Van der Horst to Reemt Borcherts of Hockey.nl.

When asked whether or not he was looking forward to facing England again for his 250th cap, Van der Horst replied: "Well, I don’t know if I get that number. We first look ahead to Wednesday, which will be number 201!"
