The EHF hosted an annual meeting of the Continental Federations with the FIH. The meeting was held in the EHF Office, Brussels on 23rd March 2012.

The main items under discussion were around the strategic plans of all the continental federations and the FIH. It covered all aspects of hockey such as generating revenue and raising the profile of events to team performance and governance.

In addition there were discussions around the FIH World League. The World League is a new global competition for all the world’s hockey nations to compete and develop. It will enable every member nation to compete for qualification to the Olympics and World Cup. There was also a focus on the youth programmes that each of the Continental Federations have in place.

The next meeting with the five Continental Federations will be held at the FIH Congress in November.
