Despite only being in the job six weeks, it seems that Hockey is already making its mark on Cam Vale. The new Chief Executive of Hockey Australia has spoken about his early impressions of working in the sport, and says that there is an immense amount to be proud of.
“The people and the culture of the sport have impressed me”, said Vale, who joined Hockey Australia after 13 years of working in finance and senior strategic roles within professional sport.
“Despite not being a hockey tragic or player, I have had a good awareness of the sport and its success without a detailed knowledge. But the number of people who play the sport at all levels, from the youngest to the Masters and everything in between, is impressive and something the sport should be proud of.”
