Presenting the medals at the Commonwealth Games Men’s Hockey final was not for the faint hearted as Leandro joined HRH Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, in the pouring rain and wind in Glasgow last month.
The Countess was however, in great spirits during the ceremony and photos of the group braving the elements, were printed in the UK press. Leandro is delighted to have since received a letter on the Countess’s behalf thanking him for the FIH scarf he presented her with.
