The Kookaburras have won the second match of their five test series against Malaysia, recording a comfortable 5-1 victory in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

With three goals in the opening ten minutes of play, the Kookaburras dominated early. Glenn Simpson got the scoring underway in the second minute of the match, via a field goal. Kookaburras striker, Glenn Turner then snared two goals in two minutes to take the lead out to three-nil at half time.

Play evened out in the second half, but the Kookaburras were never in trouble, with Ross Meadows in good form, leading the defense. A goal to Mark Paterson in the 57th minute took Australia's lead out to 4-nil.

Malaysia's Jiwa Mohan scored a late consolation goal for the home team, via a penalty corner in the 66th minute. However it was to no avail, as Kookaburras midfielder Simon Orchard scored a classy field goal at the 69th minute.

The Kookaburras will look to continue this winning form in the third match of the series at Hoki Wisma Belia, Kuantan on Thursday.
