The Hockeyroos will be determined to prove that their recent good form over world number 1 team Argentina is no fluke when they take on the reigning world champions in Canberra & Sydney for their first series on home soil for 2011.
Following their recent successful tour of Argentina, in which Australia recorded one win and two draws against Argentina, the Hockeyroos will continue to expose more new players to the
world's best team in the build up to the 2012 London Olympics during this series.
The series will also see the return of key defender Teneal Attard after suffering an ACL injury only last September at the 2010 World Cup. Former Hockeyroo Renee Trost, who has not been part of the Hockeyroos squad since being an emergency at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will also make a return to international hockey during these matches.
Hockeyroos coach Adam Commens said exposing even more players to the world's best team in such a short period is a crucial aspect of the team's preparation for the London Olympics.
